Pictoys Farm Models
Our range of sturdy wooden toys was originally based on the traditional farm steading as seen in the Scottish Borders and North East England. But over the years we have made many additions of more up-to-date buildings to please the modern young farmer.
Our models are not of an exact scale, but suit animals and tractors of 1:32 scale such as those made by Britains, Siku, etc. Although we do have a following of adult collectors they are toys and intended to be played with.
Built from best quality materials, basic construction of the larger buildings is of birch plywood with some fittings and the smaller accessories made from mainly native hardwoods. Most exposed surfaces have a finish of tough lacquer; coloured areas are first stained with a bright transparent colour allowing the wood grain to show through, or have a corrugated effect finish.
All models conform to current European toy safety standards. As some items have small parts which may become detached, and suitable scale model animals are of a small size, we do not recommend our toys for children under three years.
